You actually can’t call it fat… it’s just slightly chubby or bit flabby
Automakers across the globe are cutting down the weight of their products to keep them light-weight and fuel efficient. A clear example from Ford is the all-new F-150 Truck which has lost some weight and gained beautiful body-lines.
But what happened to the 2015 Ford Mustang? This new beast, in fact, is somewhat heavier than the 2014 Ford Mustang. It’s surprising that the new GT has gained 86 lbs and now sits at 3,704 lbs and equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. The base model of 2015 Ford Mustang will be 25 lbs heavier than its predecessor.
Why on earth have they put that extra weight on this new Mustang GT? Well the answer is pretty simple, it has been equipped with a new fully independent rear suspension system which replaces the old solid rear axle, and there are tons of new technologies packed into this beautiful beast.
There has not been any significant change in the size of the new model but Ford promises that both of its V6 and V8 Ford engine models will show a better performance all-around. It is still unclear how much the new turbo-four model will weigh but it sure will not get chubbier than rest of the family.
