Hop in to fly on roads with grace and perfection
Well, just spending a few seconds looking at the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera would get you goosebumps whether or not you are a motor enthusiast. Is it over-embellishing? Alright, let’s get on with this and find out who wins
Designing from inside out
It’s quite evident from its aggressive exterior design that the DBS Superleggera has been created for top-notch performance. The most vivid design evolution is the larger front grille, lined by a pair of inlets intended to increase airflow over the brakes and around the front wheels. New backlight and a new fixed rear spoiler swap those of the DB11, while the quad exhausts exit through F1-inspired double diffuser.
The bonnet, deck lid, splitter and diffuser are composed of carbon fibre, which clarifies the reason for weight reduction. In the interim, the deeper side strakes and open loop behind the front wheel blow more air out of the engine bay and front wheel arches that keeps the car stable at high speeds. The conspicuous black Y-spoke alloy wheels are 21″ in diameter, ride height is 5mm lower than that of the DB11 and in the honour to the name “Superleggera” which means super light, its 72kg lighter. Whoa!
The Brutal Martin Beauty
Usually, it is believed that the form and function contrast sharply, but the shrewd Superleggera completely denies this convention. No doubt, the shape is Aston Martin but it’s sturdier, wider, and even more powerful than ever. The DBS Superleggera becomes more captivating by a stunning hexagonal grille, combining a sense of infinite strength and enriched with the natural beauty. This sets the visual memo for the entire car, at the same time cater the limitless need of oxygen for the mighty 715bhp engine.
The lavish, leather upholstered interior of the DBS Superleggera including the luxurious seats perfectly supports your body. Both driver and passenger seats are so comfortable that not a single bump will be sensed.
Top-Notch performance of Avant-garde Superleggera
Normally, as a car catches speed, it needs more cooling, larger brakes and robust suspension, which certainly results in increased weight. The DBS Superleggera begs entails oppositely. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Brutal Martin has been improved in all areas required to handle its prodigious performance, by not merely accumulating more of the same, instead, by means of the supreme and durable lightweight tools.
The DBS Superleggera contains Carbon Ceramic Brakes as standard, this braking system further ads to the super light nature of the bad boy. DBS has extensively denoted the utmost grace and speed, comfort and performance. The new DBS Superleggera is precisely handcrafted with beauty and performance in equal portion. Not a single fraction is compromised. The DBS Superleggera will surely leave you in awe. Its splendour is unconditional.
The engine under the bonnet
If we spend a moment just talking about the engine, the Aston’s 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine throws the power to the Superleggera and is paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. With a power output of more than 700bhp, the Superleggera takes on the Ferrari 812 Superfast and GTC4 Lusso, along with the Bentley Continental GT.
Thanks to the muscular engine under the roof, the car could hit 62mph from rest in just 3.7 seconds. The 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 is claimed to return just 22.9mpg and going on to a top speed of 211mph. That’s exciting, isn’t it?
