Audi A6 Avant is fitted with an efficient 2.0 Litre TDI Ultra engine, cosmetic changes and efficiency tweaks to increase its muscular look
The Audi A6 Avant is now powered by a revamped engine line-up and the latest modifications make the new A6 Avant saloon look much more muscular. The styling revisions have been made to the headlights, grille, bumpers, air intakes and exhaust pipes. Interior changes include an acoustically damped windshields at front and rear, a muscular quad zone climate control system in the new and front end trims. These refinements have improved the interior quality and lift the cabin further up in the list of premium quality cabins.
Audi has also changed some equipment in the A6 Avant, such as Bi-Xenon lights introduced as standard on the entry level and SE models. S line versions and higher trims get LED lights and sweeping rear indicators. Previous kit remains standard on all models, but the changes like keyless entry, keyless start are additional. Mirrors are now heated and fully electric, however infotainment system is powered by Audi’s Media system. Drive system is powered by drive select system.
The all new Audi A6 engine line-up as mentioned, has some ultra-performance engines to rival the competitors. Previously used 2.0 Litre TDI engine with S Tronic technology was offering 61 mpg and emitting 119g/km of CO2 and after getting some performance treatments, this engine returns 65mpg and slightly reduced carbon emissions of 115g/km.
The seven speed dual clutch transmission is very responsive and swift. It helps you in improving the fuel economy and with a full tank of fuel you can travel 1030 miles. The fuel tank has the capacity of 73-litres. Tax bands remain unchanged at 19 per cent, though its predecessor was sitting at the 40 per cent for the company car tax payers.
