No more Top Gear this Sunday as BBC has suspended Jeremy Clarkson, its host since 2002. He allegedly punched one of the producers on the show, but this is not the first time he is in hot waters. Jeremy was warned last year after using racist language on the show.

However this time around he has been suspended pending investigation. The BBC has issued a statement in which they said, “No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday. The BBC will be making no further comment at this time.”

Special news correspondent Lucy Manning said that Jeremy Clarkson was suspended for “allegedly hitting the producer and incident is believed to have happened last week, but was reported to the BBC on Monday and dealt with on Tuesday,” she added.

As usual, Clarkson came on Twitter to make fun of the situation. In a tweet, he said, “Sorry Ed. It seems I knocked your ‘I’m a human’ piece down the news agenda.”

Jeremy is very much loved by motoring enthusiast all over the world and more than 150,000 people have already signed a petition this morning to reinstate Clarkson after it was reported that he was suspended and the show will not be aired on BBC Two this Sunday.
