New Ford Phoenix is the iconic GT’s successor as Ford announces plans to introduce twelve more sports cars till 2020
Ford took the centre stage at the Detroit Auto Show where they showcased the all-new GT. This model has been manufactured under the firm’s new Ford performance banner. Under this banner, Ford will produce twelve new sporty versions till 2020. These performance cars will be sold globally, however they are being created by a US-based team that syndicates personnel from Ford’s motorsport, road car and the performance parts division.
Ford has shown the road version GT replacement at the Detroit motor show; however the racing version will be coming soon as 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the original GT40’s Le Mans 24 hours win.
Detroit also hosted the high-performance F-150 Raptor pickup truck, which according to our sources will offer extended off-road performance than of the standard F-150 truck. Along with the F-150 truck and Phoenix supercar, Ford has also set aside space for Hummingbird 2 on its stand. It is a hard-core version of the recently revealed Shelby Mustang GT 350.
