More than 9,300 people applied for the first European-spec 2015 Ford Mustang as the order books opened last Saturday, it merely took 30 seconds for the order numbers to climb to 500
Ford Mustang is famous for its incredibly powerful Ford engine and has a kind of strange charm over other vehicles, the world is crazy about American Muscle, and now it’s time for the first 500 lucky Europeans to have one of these beasts in their own driveway. Last Saturday, when the order books opened, it merely took 30 seconds to hit the numbers to 500 and later in total, more than 9,300 people showed their keen interest and utmost willingness in getting a chance to buy this car as they registered.
At the Champions League Final in Lisbon where Atletico Madrid was beaten by 1-4 by Real Madrid, Ford being one of the main sponsors of this competition opted for this occasion to write history in Europe as Mustang has never been sold here. After recreating the historic moment atop Empire State Building earlier this year at the 50th birthday of Ford Mustang, this was yet another wonderful achievement by Ford.
20 countries across the Europe, 500 of luckiest persons will get to hear from Ford within next few weeks for expressing their interest in these new Mustangs. To finalise their order later this year, Ford will invite these successful prospective customers at a dealership to receive their brand new 2015 Ford Mustang.
The customers will get to choose between convertible Mustang painted in ‘Magnetic Silver’ and the Fastback coupe model finished in ‘Race Red’, both of these variations will include a special package. They will also be having Ford’s all-new 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine churning out 305 horsepower and developing 407 Nm of torque, as an option, or Ford’s traditional 5.0-litre V8 engine which delivers 420 horsepower and 529 Nm of torque.
These first 500 European-spec Mustangs are special as they will get SYNC 2 connectivity and navigation system, Park Assist technology, heated and ventilated seats, black leather trim, 19-inch alloys and chrome detailing.
Early next year, the Mustang will be available on showrooms for sale and most probably will be priced around £30,000.
