Jeep has plans for further expanding their business operations after a bumper sales year
Jeep had global sales of more than one million cars in 2014 and now they set their sights on doubling the sales by 2018. Jeep is also expanding even outside the United States.
They are targeting more than 1.8 million vehicles to be sold by 2018. Last year Jeep sold 692,348 cars in United States which is just under 70 per cent of their total sales volume. Asian countries accounted for 132,000 sales, while China gave 88,000 sales. This is a rise of sales of 49 per cent in China only if you compare it to the preceding years.
Company boss of Jeep, Mike Manley speaking at Detroit Motor Show, said, “Our focus now is to grow localised production, notably in China and South America. We have the right products with the right appeal, but we are behind the curve in terms of being an importer into some very important markets.”
The records and stats show that if Jeep achieves its target of selling 1.9 million cars by 2018, then it will be a growth in sales of 160 percent since 2013.
