In MPV class, latest KIA Carens has its own importance

Different People carrier vehicles are available there in the market but KIA has produced its latest Carens with some more improvements and refinements than before. New model of Carens is good, stylish and with some good refinements. Well balanced shape with solid body structure, especially designed for seven or eight people with ample space remaining.

There are some competent rivals available in the market such as Peugeot 5008, Vauxhall Zafira Tourer and Ford C-Max, but KIA Carens is cheap to buy and due to its economical engines, it offers low running cost driving. There is long and competent warranty by the manufacture.

KIA Carens enjoys with good diesel and petrol engines

In petrol engine category, there is a 1.6-Litre GDI petrol unit that is capable of 133bhp and 122lb/ft torque. It is good in overall performance. It takes 10.5 seconds to reach from 0-62m/h with top speed of 115m/h. Fuel consumption is very economical with 48m/g and Co2 emissions are 143g/km. It is equipped with six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive as standard.

In diesel, there are many punchy units available but 1.7-Litre CRDi is the real gem. It is capable of 139bhp and 251lb/ft toque. Though a little bit slow than the petrol one but still it is considered the best and KIA offers seven-speed automatic gearshift mechanism with this engine. It takes 11.5 seconds to get from 0-62m/h along with top speed of 118m/h. Fuel consumption is very economical and it offers 58m/g with 127g/km of Co2 emissions. It is available in manual and automatic gearbox with front-wheel drive as standard.

KIA has packed its Carens with reasonable features in affordable price. There is a long list of its features including Anti-Lock Braking system with electronic control, air conditioning, CD player, audio remote, adaptive cruise control, cruise control and traction control,

standard airbags are there with side curtains till tail, folding rear seats, ISOFIX children seats anchor points, electric windows, electric sunroof, remote locking, heated seats, front fog lights, daytime running LED lights with Xenon, Sat Nav, height adjustable driver’s seat and steering wheel rake and reach adjustments.

Korean brands are world renowned for their safety and reliability. KIA Carens is an MPV so there are plenty of safety kits to give protection to its occupants and other people move around of it.

It’s parking sensors, pedestrian collision alert and many other features are really good. Its reliability is also good. It has secured five stars in Euro NCAP crash test.
