Calling all Ken Block’s rubber-obilterating YouTube series fans
We have just received a fresh delivery of Ken Block’s new rubber burning Gymkhana video. The seventh episode of rubber-burning YouTube series is here. KB’s got himself a new car, a 1965 ‘Notchback’ Ford Mustang, four-wheel-drive churning out a whopping 845bhp. Ken Block is a professional rally driver with the Hoonigan Racing Division, formerly known as the Monster World Rally Team.
Ken is back to what he does best, sliding around a cityscape while burning as many rear tyres as possible. Los Angeles is the location of choice for the seventh installment of the highly successful Hoonigan Gymkhana chain. These videos are produced once a year to show the best drifting skills from Ken Block himself.
“The access to locations for this project was incredible,” said Block. “Obviously the film commission in Los Angeles is quite good and accustomed toworking with projects that involve driving all the time. However, this was the first and only time that anyone has done actual live-action driving and filming at the top of the Hollywood sign. Some of the permissions we had to obtain from the Department of Homeland Security were intense!”
