Maserati, the Italian automaker has plans to offer by the end of 2017, a replacement for the Gran Turismo
Peter Denton, North Europe manager of Maserati has recently announced that by the end of 2017, Maserati has confirmed replacement for its Gran Turismo. This new technology will be according to Peter would not be bigger rather it would be more compact. The inside sources report that the new Gran Turismo will be powered by a 3.8 litre V8 twin-turbo engine which will be capable of churning out 550 bhp, sent directly to RWD.
The current Maserati Gran Turismo is assembled in Modena, Italy since 2007 and shares its platform with Quattroporte V. It’s a four-seat coupe which gets some of its parts from Scaglietti and Ferrari 599 GTB. There are two engine choices available for the sports version, a 4.2 litre V8 and a 4.7 litre V8 backed by either a semi-automatic or ZF 6-Speed automatic transmission.
