Mazda CX-3 offers a bunch of qualities including attractive styling
Excellent driving experience and high-quality built but there is something else that makes it an even handy option for buyers. The all new supermini based CX-3 crossover is an attractive and chunky vehicle that offers an elegant driving experience and tough competition to its rivals like Nissan Juke.
It has been designed to meet the demand for compact crossovers in the world. While being attractive, it is a beautiful, chunkier and taller version of Mazda 2. All these qualities are backed by Mazda CX-3 engines to make these qualities even dominant and appealing for the buyers.
What engines used?
There are both diesel and petrol options available to serve the Mazda CX-3 crossover but when it comes to diesel only, the 1.5-litre diesel engine has cracking performance figures.
It has excellent fuel economy figures and reasonable carbon emissions. But it doesn’t mean that the diesel engine is lower in power than the 2.0-litre petrol engine.
2.0-litre petrol engine
Mazda CX-3 is a bit noisy at cruising speeds and it is important to make sure that you are ready to live with it.
Engine technologies used
Mazda has offered only two engine options for CX-3 and both engines are equipped with latest engine technologies. The 1.5-litre diesel engine has SkyActiv-D diesel technology. This engine is soon to be introduced in Mazda 6 car family.
The 2.0-litre petrol engine is powered by SkyActiv-G which is already serving the CX-5 SUV family.
What SkyActiv badge shows?
The SkyActiv badge confirms that the specific model has received a weight loss treatment. It helps the engine to feel even punchier and CX-3 to fly even nicely.
