To keep the sales numbers up Chevrolet responded back by offering up to $7,500 off the price of some Silverado models
When we think about the trucks, a few names pop up in our mind such as, Ford F-Series, RAM and Chevrolet Silverado. This past March, Ford managed to get its sales figure to hit a high number of 70,940 in that month alone and massive figures of 173,358 since January this year. Whereas, GM only get to hit 42,247 trucks of Chevrolet Silverado when RAM edged it out by selling 42,532 creating a difference of 285 more trucks. Between GM and Chrysler, this difference of a handful of trucks is a significant jump which forced GM to take desperate measures.
As a result – to keep the sales numbers up – Chevrolet responded back by offering up to $7,500 off the price of some Silverado models. Surprisingly, the Chevy may not have a great March as Compared to RAM, but they did not have a bad March either. Over-all sales of Silverado went down 7.6 percent this year but March alone sales went up 6.8 percent. Chevy has announced that these incentives will continue throughout April. It might help in covering the difference in the number of sales that of RAM but that would not be enough to catch the Ford.
