Man on Suit-Cooter

From the region of Hunan in China, a farmer named ‘He Liang’ has managed to caused a stir as his latest invention has gained attention across the world

We have been using suitcases to carry the luggage around but the Chinese like to do things in a different manner. He-Liang is a Chinese farmer who has recently made quite a stir by turning his suitcase into an electric scooter. Liang lives in Hunan region in China and has invented an ultimate hybrid rollaboard – or you may call it the suit-cooter as it does not have an engine – it has been patented as “multi-functional suitcase”.

Several photographs from Changsha have popped up on the internet showing this 15-16 lbs suitcase making its run. It is a three-wheeler hybrid and the front wheel has a hub powered by electric motor, which when fully charged, is capable of carrying two people and travel 31 to 37 miles which equals to 50 to 60 kilometres.

This motorised suitcase can travel at 20 km per hour. It starts with a rotary switch on this miniature handlebar, what is apparent from the pictures is that it does have a brake handle and the three wheels seems to be fixed in place. Liang is reported to have never finished primary school, as genius knows no boundaries, he was so determined that after spending 10 long years, he himself built his ride which also enables him to carry some amount of cargo and also boasts a navigation system.

As of right now, this suitcase does not has a suspension system, nor does it offers any comfort, but just for the sake of an argument, if this idea does, somehow, manage to take off, Liang might become a rich man as his patent idea hit the production line as “world’s lightest car.”

A chain of drive-through suitcase washes. Or world-class suitcase racing series. One this is for sure, China is “The Only Place” on planet Earth where things like this can ever happen.
