What’s attractive in new looks of BMW 3 series?
If compared to the last year regular 3 series, new adaptive LED headlamps feature with an altered grille surround, air intakes are changed with new full LED rear light design. There is the option of new colours with dashing alloys wheels.
The new BMW 3 series in introduced with two new trims, the sports line and the luxury line that offer greater premium feel. Whereas the M-sport spec brings the option of an aerodynamic package with new M design alloys. The additional chrome and the glossy material for the air outlets and dash increases the pleasant fragrance. In addition, new professional navigation is also introduced with a reformed menu and Bluetooth as standard.
Fresh Gadgets
Some latest and new smart gadgets are also there to increase the versatility of the new BMW e series addition. Wireless smartphone charging is available with a Wi-Fi hotspot and a BMW’s connected drive service is added.
New 3 series Petrol Engine’s specs
The new 3 series efficient dynamic petrol unit has improved the fuel efficiency up to 14%. The base 320i petrol is still there regarding performance, but now giving improved outputs of 46.3mpg and emits 139g/km of CO2 in two wheel drive as compared to the 42.2mpg and 155g/km in the old unit. New 330i has replaced the 328i with the power up from 242bhp from 249bhp. Fuel Economy is also efficient to 47.9mpg from 41.5mpg. However the CO2 emission is dropped to 134g/km from 154g/km.
A new 330i replaces the 328i, with power up from 242bhp to 249bhp. But the economy is improved from 41.5mpg to 47.9mpg. CO2 emissions drop from 157g/km to 134g/km.
A range topping 340i is replaced with 335i with improved 326bhp from 306bhp also improving the torque to 450Nm from 400Nm. However the CO2 emissions are decreased by 30g/km to 159g/km. Economy wise, the new 340i produces 40.4mpg economy. The xDrive form is fast and furious which covers 0-62mph in the time of just 5 seconds.
Diesel Engine’s Specs
The new 3 series has the only new diesel in the 325d. It offers 450Nm torque and 224bhp. However, it claims 60.1mpg and emits just 124g/km of CO2.
Gearbox features
New BMW 3 series GT has both auto and manual gearboxes. The six-speed manual transmission with the exclusive features of rev-matching tech, while the eight-speed steptronic auto has a wider ratio spread, smoother shifts and new sports+ mode offering multiple downshifts.
